still here!

Wow! How much bad luck can you have? Seriously!
So my laptop crashed, and I had to have it fixed, then my extrernal hardrive (with all my pictures from the last 5-6 years) got a virus, I'm still waiting to get it back, and I'm hoping I'll still have all my photos! Then the computer at work also got a virus, and then crashed.
So for you who may have wondered where I went, I'm still here, just having some bad luck when it comes to computers!

Work has been busy, I have't had a chance to scrap because of my computer :(, and I've been spending my days off with this amazing girl, Alex <3

Its starting to get warm here in KC so we've been up to all kinds of silly outdoorsy fun :)

I'll update with more pictures, and fun news as soon as I get my laptop up and running again!
I hope you all had a great weekend!

i LOVE the dozens <3

I got the dozens kit, and the project kit in the mail a week ago, and I finally had time to play! :)

My computer is so messed up, and wont print pictures or do anything at all so I just had to take whatever photos I already had printed, but it worked out well, I'm happy :)

I didn't have time to sit down and make anything out of the fabric that also came with the kit, but I'm hoping I will have something to show by next week.

The weather was amazing so we took little Cupcake for a LONG walk, and of course, fragile me are left with some enormous blisters, I swear, I have like 5 band aids on each heel. Gross.

I bought this movie "The Orphanage", from the director of "Pan's labyrinth", which I loved, so I had hopes for this movie!
It was good, really creepy! But good :)

a million projects at once <3

Just updating real quick before I get back to painting.
The weekend has been everything but busy at work so I finally had some time to (start new), and finish off some projects. FUN! :)

I painted this cutie for my dearest Christine. I used water colors for the background, and then painted the rest with acrylics. I'm hoping she'll love it as much as I do :)

I was asked to do a challenge by the lovely girls over at the Norwegian blog scrappedugnad

And here is my layout. I challenged everybody to use fabric scraps on their layouts :) LOVES!
The blog is in Norwegian, but I promise there's lots of prettiness to look at!

Other than that, like I said, work is slow, but its alright. Milt and I have so many unfinished projects going on haha, maybe we'll have time to actually finish some of them! :)

time for a change

It was so incredibly nice outside yesterday so we took little Cupcake for a long walk, came back to the apartment and chilled outside for awhile. Both Cupcake and I enjoyed some juicy watermelon (haha YUM), and baked in the sun.

Yes I said baked. A couple hours later, while scrapping, I noticed my skin was starting to feel itcy, and I went in the bathroom to grab some lotion. Holy moly, talk about lobster fest! My skin is so red and burned, I should get slapped for not putting sun block on my tattoos!

Did a couple, 4 layouts, Im pretty happy with all of them, Its definitly fun scrapping just for myself sometimes, and go completely nuts with random products! :)

As I walked into the locker room at the gym last week, this older lady commented how cute it was that my gym bag was pink, but then 2 seconds later she asked me if my pink hair matched my bra and panties. WHAT? Talk about weird! So last night I decided the pink had to go, not so much cus of what she said, but I'm just done with it. I don't feel like bleaching, and dying my hair once a week anymore, and its just a pain in the butt. So I went for all black! :)

After my hair appointment got canceled twice last week, I had my fingers crossed for today, and went in and finally got my hair cut. I've decided to let it grow back out, I really enjoy the whole process of letting it grow out, for then to cut it short, and let it grow again. I'm weird.
So I had her thin it out a bit since I have abnormally thick viking hair, and also had her cut my bangs. I LOVE IT!!! Change is definitly good! :)

Now it's raining, and I don't really feel like doing anything. Maybe watch a movie, whats a good movie that you've seen lately?

<3 Have fun!

I scrapped this layout last week, and I forgot to take a picture and upload it, so here it is :)

I scrapped this picture that I found at my dads when I was there for Christmas. He said its his uncle in the picture, and a bunch of random kids. Such a cool photo, I LOVE IT!

Photobucket

I've been painting with Milt at work, mixing watercolor and acrylics, tons of fun!
After the RVA weekend I got really inspired to paint on wood, its a challenge for sure, but try it, and you'll love it! :)

Photobucket

Photobucket

I painted this, its not really my style at all, but Milt wanted me to paint him something, so he got to pick what :)

Photobucket

Milt and I went to River Market Antique Mall yesterday, talk about thrifted goodies overload! wow! He found tons of stuff, I wasn't really in the mood even though I had been talking about going there all week. I found a russian nesting doll though, so that was a great score! :)

If you haven't already, head over to Red Velvet Art for some colorful fabric inspo! :)

Hope you all had a great weekend <3

Red Velvet Camp

Photobucket

The Red Velvet weekend was aweeesome! After alot of confusion, and should I say bad communication, (HAHA) we all finally agreed to leave on Thursday. This whole time I though we were leaving on Friday. Silly me.
Sarah, Emma and Rachel picked me up, and we drove the 3 hours to Springfield, chatting our faces off the whole time there. It was so much fun!

It was so good to finally get to meet Rachel, who I must say is one of the sweetest girls out there. Wow, what a cutie <3 I love you Rach!
I hadn't really talked much, if ever to Sarah (how lame is that!), but holy moly, how awesome is she! And she lives only 20 mins away, we will definitly be hanging out!

Photobucket

We got to Springfield around 8 on Thursday night, went out for some delish Thai food. YUM!
Went back to Elsies, we all had a project each to teach. We started Emmas project first, which was making vegan soap, and jewelery! FUN!

We had to get up early on Friday, to stop by Hobby Lobby, and get dressed for the photoshoot later that day with Wess. What an awesome guy, seriously.

We went back to Elsies, started Rachels project, super cute octopus' made out of sweat shirts. YESSS! I brought my sewing machine, but somewhere along the way we lost the bobbin, and ended up having to hand stich the whole thing. HAHA, it turned out to be quite a time consuming project, but it was fun. And how cuuute do they look!

Photobucket

Sarah's project was heat pads made out of towels, and rice. 3 mins in the microwave, and no more cold feet or cramps! serioulsy. I love this thing!

Saturday we did some thrift store shopping, I found some really cute (and fun) fabrics, old vinyl records that I'm gonna turn into something FAB, and a cute little jar with a picture of a cow on it. I do love cows!

Photobucket

Photobucket

Then again back to Elsies to start my project, which I had bought 5 sets of unpainted russian nesting dolls online, for us to decorate. But they never came in the mail in time, so I ended up changing my project to cute flower hairlips, and clay sculpeys. After mine, we started Elsies project, which was painting on wood! Awesome!!
I had to ride back with Sarah on Sarturday, since my greencard expires, and I had to go in for new fingerprints, and pictures. Lame.
It was a fun drive home though, we had some great conversations, and laughed alot. She is definitly awesome!
